zamwi new feature, cool news

I’ve been working since I got home from school on my flickr slideshow link on my blog. I finally got it up and running. Unless your name is Evan you didn’t see this until now, when I posted about it. Be sure to check it out because I’ll be adding new photos to it all the time.

Once again the idea came from Paul Stamatiou, who gave a great tutorial on embedding the flickr flash slideshows.

My web site is getting some more hits too! Soon I will have some special coverage on a special event [ I don't want to leak too much information, just stay tuned ]. There will be some pictures, audio and hopefully video from this event. Be sure to check out the blog everyday and grab the RSS feed while you’re at it!

I’ve also been working on some cool tutorials, which I know I’ve mentioned before. When I get through exam week I’ll be sure to finish them and share them with the world! 0_o

Snowboarding the Alps

Well I am back and posting again. I had to work a few hours after I arrived home but now I am here, back to work, school, and of course zamwi. The trip was awesome. I was in St. Veit, Austria, snowboarding for 3 days. I am so sore though. My brother, Ben, and I were just tearing it up!…It was great, I miss it already. I have posted a picture of the beautiful Alps.

The Beautiful Alps!

The bad part is this will probably be the last time that I get to snowboard there, since we move back to the U.S. in June. Then I’m stuck going to the little junk slopes where you wait in line for an hour for a lift and go down in 30 seconds. Anyway, the site will be changing more and more, I’ve been working on a new Alp-like banner and new Wordpress themes. Now that I’m back I have a few how-to’s and labs to share as well. Stay tuned kids!

We have liftoff…!

Well if you know me you should know that I couldn’t leave with a welcome message all weekend, since I will be snowboarding the Alps until Tuesday! [I'll take pictures] But I wanted to talk tech before I go away from all the tech stories for a week.

Ramblings

CES just wrapped up and man it looked awesome, but jammed pack. I saw a bunch of stuff online from the show that looked pretty cool. If you want a good tour of CES check out revision3’s new show InDigital, they give you an awesome tour. After seeing more about the SlingBox it makes me want to go out and get one right now! Though that technology really isn’t knew. I guess the new battle will be between Blu-Ray and HD-DVD, I say Blu-Ray with all the Sony titles, but looks like another Beta-SP VHS battle to me. Oh well.

CES didn’t excite me as much as MacWorld did though. I watched Steve Job’s entire keynote video. Seeing MacWorld makes me hate my PC even more. I can’t wait to get a new MacBook PRO. The MacBook is 4x faster with the Intel Core Duo Processor. I just feel bad for those who got powerbooks for Christmas like Kevin Rose. Anyway iLife 06 looks pretty cool with iWeb and the podcasting garage band features, but that only means podcasting is easier, which means more junk podcasts.

Well thats all the rambling I have for this post. I’m sure I’ll have a blast boarding it up in the Alps of Austria. I’ll be sure to post some pictures when I come back. Until next time folks….

It took a bit of work but I made it!

So it took a lot for me to launch this blog, but nontheless I am here and the site is active!

Welcome all to zamwi.com I hope you enjoy your stay. I have been working on launching this site for a few weeks and with the help of Paul Stamatiou I was finally able to launch it through wordpress.

On this site you’ll find some tech news, the home to an upcoming podcast. (more on that later) and some random blogs about cool stuff happening in my life.

After reading an article on Digg about Tom, the myspace guy, I decided that was it, I’m done with myspace! So it gave me a reason to delete it and made me want to start this site more. So if you were a “friend” of mine on myspace, then check this site out instead!
So welcome to zamwi, we hope you enjoy your stay and stop by frequently because we’ll be updating a lot!
