I’ve got two NES systems, one of which doesn’t work, and I’ve often wondered a cool easy way to use the other one. I stumbled upon a cool site the other day that has answered my question!
Mavrinac.com put together a brief tutorial on taking out the guts of an NES and creating an alarm clock.

The site walks step by step through the process of an NES alarm clock. Every retro gamers dream. I’m going to have to put on together now that I saw this!
Well I’m not about to act like I know what I’m talking about in this one. You should check out the site for yourself, and if you do it drop me a line!

I think I will now kill someone for destroying their beautiful NES…
I threw mine away when I got a PS1 and have regretted that every day of my life…
