Another reason to love Apple

If you know me you’ll know that I pretty much don’t like Microsoft. To be honest thats an understatement. However, due to money I’m forced to run their oh-so-stable OS until I get some dough for college for a MacBook =D In my experiences with the two companies I have definately found that Apple is the better of the two, here is another example of why.
I’ll admit, when this was going down I was a little bit aggrevated with Apple and the iTunes store. I had just finisded season 1 of The Office and wanted to download the Dundies episode of season 2. I went to download the episode and it worked great, up until it got to the end of the download, where I got an unexpected error. It said that there may be some software that I have that limits iTunes from accessing my computer, like a firewall.
Knowing that I hadn’t installed any firewalls I continued to try to download this episode, but with no luck at all. So I went to the Apple support page, apple.com/support, and wrote them about what happened. The next day I got an email back which basically said the same thing the error message said. Having already been charged for this show that I couldn’t get I was a little mad. So I tried again downloading the show, this had been about my 15 trial, and still got the same error. I then went to the next episode of The Office and purfchased that, the episode downloaded with no problems at all.
So I wrote Apple.com/support again and simply asked them for a refund. The next day Apple e-mailed me back refunding my purchase and giving me 5 free song downloads. They said that I shouldn’t try to download The Dundies episode for about two weeks.

Through a bad experience Apple really came out on top in my mind, it doesn’t make me want to leave and go to Napster. By the way, I ended up being able to download the episode of The Office with no problems, a weird situation…

So thanks Apple for awesome customer service and support.

Some of the nicest customer server I’ve ever seen.. wow… makes feel all tingly inside.
Speaking of nice customer server, my online friend’s ‘Ventrillo’ (real time voice chat) server went down unexpectedly, since they normally announce maintenence. He emailed them, and I’m not kidding, within an hour they had it back up with, get this, a free server to use as ‘lag overflow’ for a week. Said it was a problem on their side (probably some guy tripping over a cord, lol).
