These are a few of my favorite things

Upon moving from Germany my life has changed, and until July 3rd, when we finally move into a house, I will not get much time to blog. I have a bunch of ideas lined up, but let me tell you some of my favorite things about the past couple weeks:

  1. Free South Park Episodes online - Perfect for boring hotel nights
  2. Motorola V360 - In my opinion the best phone for its price, when I get time a review will follow…
  3. T-Mobile - Free calls nation wide to other T-Mobile users (Chad), great service, powerful signal strength, free nights + weekends…awesome service!
  4. My Macbook Pro - I bought it yesterday with my student discount from Towson, its amazing. (Review to come)
  5. Free iPod Nanos and Printers from Apple - Two great deals from Apple, crafty.
  6. Digg v3 - Kevin Rose has done well, I can’t wait until he pounds Netscape.

So I guess moving back to the states hasn’t been so bad after all, despite the weather…

” The times they are a-changin’ “

In light of some of my favorite bloggers telling you about their busy lives, I’ve decided to tell you zamwiers what I’ve been up to…

Since Wednesday night I have:

  • Said Good bye to my best friends in Germany = (
  • Checked out of the Arms
  • Flown to Chicago from Frankfurt International Airport
  • Connected in Chicago and flown to Baltimore
  • Visited my friend Ryan on the Eastern Shore
  • Checked out the Apple store and priced my Mac Book Pro
  • Visited downtown Annapolis and the Naval Academy
  • Had a “Welcome Home” party
  • Played terrible in Wiffle Ball
  • Ate Chic-Fil-A
  • Picked up a nice cell phone (review to come)
  • Watched an Orioles game

Moving “home” has been tough, I’ve been home-sick for Germany and despite most of my friends leaving it still feels tough….

Anyway, I am connected here with my Mac Mini, it made it through customs and everything, and I am using some nice high speed internet.

Imagine if MySpace…

I saw an article the other day on del.icio.us about why MySpace should not be considered Web 2.0. Their reasoning was that the video section of MySpace only plays Windows Media 9+ files on Internet Explorer.

World Cup in Deutschland

I’ll be the first to admit I do not know much about soccer, but for some reason watching the World Cup in Germany is an experience that I will miss in 8 days when I come back to the states.

Review: D-Link’s Airport Alternative

I am homeless…to a certain degree. Actually, if you live in the U.S. right now you are paying for my home. No, I’m not on wellfare, my family is in a hotel as we depart to go back to the states. While in the hotel I had to have internet, as I have already mentioned. Unfortunately, my Mac Mini is airportless, so I decided to look around for another option while I was stuck in a hotel.

Who am I, what is zamwi?

I recently did not get into 9rules, which is sort of what I have been trying to do with this website for a long time. The new sites rock, but not getting in has allowed me to re-evaluate what I want to do with this website…things happen for a reason.

Talking Web 2.0 with schools

I got to do something really interesting today, in my Career Practicum job, which I work for our school district doing video and tech related projects, I was able to meet with the electronic tech (ET) administrators to talk a bit about web 2.0
