I enjoyed getting rid of it. Too bad about the Windows version of iTunes, I am not sure if the Duplicate Songs option is in that version, but it comes in handy for sure. I'm a bit like you, I hate the cross fade, and have all my music stored on another drive. I have the Windows version of iTunes, and from what I can see, the Duplicate Songs option is no where to be found. Some good stuff here.
