MyDreamApp.com

As a Mac user I am always on the look out for cool new applications, it seems like there are apps for everything these days. But every once in a while you think of a cool idea for an app, but just do not know what to do with it, but MyDreamApp does!

MyDreamApp.com is a website created by Phillip Ryu that started for those that have these ideas and may not be developers. MyDreamApp started late August as a competition for all Mac users. The way it works is that anyone can submit an idea to the site, judges critique the idea and the top three are made into shareware programs by MyDreamApp’s developers.

In the end the top three win some great prizes like a shiny new MacBook or maybe even an iPod. The 3 top idea submitters also receive a percentage of the money made on the shareware, which is a great way to produce new Mac content.

The contest is no longer taking submitters for the time being and the highly esteemed judging panel, including David Pogue, Kevin Rose and Guy Kawasaki are in the process of judging the top 12 ideas. If you are a blogger you can also be on the panel by writing about MyDreamApp on your weblog. Click here for more details.
Ultimately this idea is great for the Mac community, it brings together everyone with ideas, developers and Mac alum, to produce great content as the end result. Check it out.
