Ditch the Browser Day

I firmly believe that the tool that made the internet successful will one day perish. I am not about to start that revolution, as I feel that it will be a gradual process. However, today I would like to start Ditch the Browser on October 10, 2006.
I am in love with RSS and feel that it is the way to leave the browser on 10-10, and through zamwi each week I will announce tips for having a successful browser free day.
In preparation this week I recommend that you start subscribing to everything that you need to read on 10-10, including this site, and start gradually using the feed reader more and more to successfully go a whole day with out a browser.
To track news on Ditch the Browser Day I have set up a DBD category in my blog, which I use for Ditch the Browser Day news and information as well as tips to ditch the browser on 10-10.

Good luck! I hope you can successfully ditch the browser on 10-10!

Long time no read bud…
Maybe I need to read a later post, but why ditch the browser? I gradtuated out of the dark ages with Internet Explorer by your guidance, and Firefox is great… so I don’t know your reasons behind this…
(On an unrelated note: Dr. V got fired)

Hey Troy, good to hear from you. Firefox is amazing, but so is RSS and I really feel that RSS is the way to avoid the browser forever, so to test that I have created Ditch The Browser Day.

Yeah iTunes was taking a long time to get my album art as well. And it’s been running fine, it’s just little bugs like that sometimes.

Yeah, I really love iTunes 7, your problems might have something to do with that operating system your running. What is that called? Windows? Sick.
