ESPN waves ‘bye bye’ to Sean Salisbury

I found it pretty ironic that just a little over a month after Sean Salisbury’s personal attack on John Clayton calling him the “crypt keeper” that he is out looking for another job outside of the world-wide leader. Cris Carter will be replacing Salisbury, a fine replacement if I do say so myself.

If you don’t remember the video, its below and check out my article on this over at BSR.

the rookie black friday experience

Last year I didn’t take the day after Thanksgiving seriously enough, I pulled into Circuit City around 8 A.M., not expecting much…but hoping something would be left. This year I thought I was smarter, getting into the parking lot of Best Buy at 4:30, a half hour before they open. I wasn’t there for a big screen T.V., just a couple gadgets and looking for the crazed experience that is Black Friday.   <br> Continue reading »

No more begging for invites

Ah, I remember when a GMail invite was worth gold. Seriously these things were going for money on eBay. Its pretty crazy because everyone has them now.

I worked hard for mine though, I begged people I didn’t even know. Back in my day you had to work hard to get into those private betas, now inviteshare is doing all the work.

I have been using invite share for just a few hours and I have already been invited to pownce and joost.

Inviteshare is an easy to use service, just sign up, search for the invitation and add yourself to the list. When an invite pops up for you, you will be emailed. Simple.

With that being said I have four pownce invites, the first four to request in the comment below come join me!

Freeware alternatives for that Mac shareware

Over the past few months I have spent a ton of money on Mac shareware. I kind of felt like I was more a part of the Mac community by tossing some money at these developers and getting the software that all the Mac geeks have. After using it for some time I realized that the shareware community is great, but there are a lot of free alternatives to that 30 dollar piece of software.

Promote your site with the ‘Jay-Z method’

From before the deaths of Tupac and the Notorious, there was one rapper who lived on and started himself, his name was Jay-Z. While this is no rap history blog, we do like to focus on bringing some self promotion to your site, and what better way to do that than by looking at the master himself, Jay-Z.

Has Apple become ‘too’ big?

As all Apple fans know today was Macworld 2007, but more than that it was an absolutely insane day for myself. Last night a few friends and I decided to take a three hour drive to New York City, rather random, but I figured I could check out the Apple store on Fifth Avenue.
