For my Electronic Field Production class I have been working on a short film. My friend Zach Griffin wrote the story and we’ve been shooting since early November. Here is your first look.
While working on my film this weekend my friend/director of photography showed me this commercial. I was totally with it until it started spinning. This is nuts…I wish I knew motion.
I can’t seem to remember everyone wanting to see a movie like this one. I was talking to my family and friends last night about how many people plan to see ‘The Dark Knight‘.
People have had tickets to the midnight showing of this movie for over a week here in Maryland. I just bought tickets for a 12:30 am show on Fandango for it last night.
A lot of theatres have planned to show this movie in most if not all of their screens. That is what the theatre I’m going to is doing. Another theatre is playing this movie all night, with showings at 3 and 6 am!
I saw Batman Begins and thought it was decent, a lot of people thought it was way more amazing than I thought it was. It reminded me a lot of the mystique that 300 received, I feel like they’re both good flicks but had a lot of hype.
The Dark Knight also has a lot of people going just to see Heath Ledger as the Joker. I have to be honest his character does look intriguing. I know a lot of people are claiming it to be his best performance. Many blame the darkness of his character for his death, which I personally think is a stretch. Either way it will be worth watching to see the new Joker.
High Definition Trailer for ‘The Dark Knight’
So are you going to see the box office hit of the summer tonight at midnight?
This is an experimental video I shot on a Panasonic P2 and Canon GL2. You can definitely see the difference between the two cameras. One is the best HD camera on the market and the other is a low end 3 CCD camera. I did my best to match it up. Essentially this project was just to give a location a certain feel. I chose a garage and went with a dark/lonely idea.
